Dr. Banani Roy is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan. She received her Ph.D. in Engineering Interactive Systems from the Queen’s University, her MSc. in Software Systems Engineering from Aachen University of Technology (RWTH Aachen), and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University. She worked as a faculty member at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of one of the top technical Universities in Bangladesh, the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). Her background has provided her research and teaching experience at five different organizations in three different countries. She also received several awards including a Queen’s Graduate Scholarship and the highly competitive Ontario Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (OGSST). Her research interests are Data Analytics, Software Analytics, Human Centered/Driven Software Engineering, Interactive Software and Big Data Analytics, Provenance, and Empirical Software Engineering.
